Welcome to the Acorn Café, where Storied Tradition meets Modern Comfort.

For centuries, Acorns have been an important staple of nourishment for the Maidu People.  The gathering, processing, cooking, storing, and eating of acorns was an important and time-consuming activity.  These nutrition-packed gifts from the region’s Oak trees fostered strength, community and comfort to generations of Maidu, whose lives revolved around them.

At the Acorn Café, we strive to nourish our community with the care and comfort that goes into every dish.  We take pride in providing a homemade experience in every aspect of our menu, and we aim to welcome you with warm and attentive service.

Our meats, fish and poultry are butchered, cured and smoked in-house, our signature sauces, jams and dressings are homemade and our breads are made exclusively for Acorn Café by Master Bakers from the renowned Tin Roof Bakery in Chico.  We offer mouthwatering comfort classics and contemporary café delights – there is something for everyone to indulge their whims.

Our team at the Acorn Café strives to create a new tradition of gathering around great food and genuine, warm service.  Thank you for joining us – your comfort is our bread and butter.
